Dr. Md Hibjur Rahaman moichingmayum

Aloha! welcome to my personal web space. You know my name now :) I am from Manipur, a beautiful north-eastern state of India. I hold a Ph.D. in Geography from the Department of Geography, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. My thesis focused on assessing the localized nature of climate change and variability, watershed hydrology, and watershed management, integrating remote sensing, GIS, and machine learning techniques to enhance the understanding of the relationship between climate and water resources.

I am expanding my research to explore broader applications of different machine learning models with remote sensing data for improved natural resource management and disaster risk reduction. This includes areas such as air quality, flood, drought, forest, and landslide management, with a strong touch on spatial analysis and geographical insights. I have actively participated in various national and international conferences and have published over 28 research papers in journals of repute indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Beyond academia, I find great pleasure in exploring different places and cultures. I am a passionate admirer of Linkin Park's music. In my free time, I freelance as a graphic designer, troubleshoot computer systems, and occasionally design web pages. I find great joy & pride in finding best deals for mobile phones and laptops. I also have a knack for finding affordable flight fares. I am open to collaboration for research publication.
